What distinguishes MAP from other architecture and interior design firms can be challenging to present on a website: We actually listen to our clients. That might seem simple enough and may even sound obvious, but many of our clients come to us with unique problems to solve. Only by delving deeply into their situation and truly understanding our clients' real motivation behind a project can a designer successfully achieve ideal results. The individual attention given to each project at MAP - no matter its size - is the foundation of a client experience that sets us apart from the competition and leads to a lot of return business from those clients.
Founded in 2004, Miller Architecture and Planning is a full service architectural and interior design firm that provides design solutions for commercial, residential and institutional clients, no matter if it's new construction and development, remodeling and renovating, master planning and facilities management, or historic restoration and preservation. Whatever your design needs, whatever the situation, we are here to help you to meet or exceed your design goals.
Miller Architecture and Planning has been twice awarded as a Small Business of Excellence by the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce. Miller Architecture and Planning is also a past recipient for the Best Small Urban Infill Project for the State of Georgia from the Georgia Municipal Association.
"Miller Architecture and Planning was started on the belief that it is the responsibility of the design professional to be deeply involved in the betterment of their community through the physical embodiment of architecture that is appropriate to the client's needs, the context in which it's built and to the environment at large, as well as maintaining the architect's physical presence and availability to his or her neighbors within the community."
Terry Miller received his Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 1985 followed by a Masters of Architecture from Syracuse University. He has been a licensed architect since 1996. He moved to Georgia in 1997 and worked at the Project Management level in several Atlanta architectural firms before starting his own practice. He and his firm have designed projects of just about every building type imaginable, including houses, shopping centers, car dealerships, medical offices, hotels, and many other categories.
Terry has served as the past chairman of the Downtown Development Authority and was elected to the Douglasville City Council in 2007 serving through 2011 and was recently elected to another term in 2017. He is a past member of the board of directors of the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville and currently serves on the Lithia Springs High School STEM Advisory Board, the WellStar Douglas Regional Board, and the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Livable Cities Initiative Committee.
